Willa Storczyk is a family-run wooden guest house in central Zakopane, at the foot of the Polish Tatras. It stands between a spruce forest and the Bystry stream, on a quiet street, yet close to everything visitors come here for.
We rent guest rooms, not apartments. Every room has its own private bathroom, and there is a fully equipped shared kitchenette in the corridor with a hob, a microwave, a fridge and everything you need to make a hot drink or a simple meal.
The bus stop is 30 metres from the door, and buses run from there directly to the Kasprowy Wierch cable car. You do not need a car here. If you do arrive by car, parking on our property is free, which is not something most places in central Zakopane can offer.
The rate covers everything: the local tourist tax, Wi-Fi and parking are all included, with no extra charges added at the end. We answer enquiries in English on WhatsApp and by e-mail, usually the same day.

Right next to the house
Zakopane sits at the southern edge of Poland, about 100 km from Krakow. Most visitors arrive through Krakow. Travel times below are typical, not guaranteed, so check current timetables before you travel.
Roughly 2 to 2.5 hours. There are direct coaches from the airport to Zakopane, and you can also take the airport train to Krakow Glowny and change to a bus at the coach station next door. Private transfers run door to door.
Buses and minibuses leave frequently from the coach station beside Krakow Glowny and take about 2 to 2.5 hours. The train takes longer, roughly 3 hours, but is comfortable and lands you at the Zakopane station.
About 2 hours from Krakow on the S7 and DK47, longer on winter weekends. Parking on our property is free, which matters here, because parking in central Zakopane is scarce and paid.
The bus and train stations sit next to each other, about 2.5 km from us. If the hosts are free at that hour, we will collect you from the station and take you back at no charge. Give us your arrival time when you book and we will confirm.
After that you do not need a car. The bus stop 30 metres from the house connects you to the cable car, the town centre and the trailheads, and much of what you came for is within walking distance.
Yes, in writing. We answer every enquiry in English on WhatsApp and by e-mail, and that is by far the easiest way to reach us. Our own English is basic and our children help with translation, so a phone call can be harder to get through. Write to us and you will get a clear answer, usually the same day.

We take cash in Polish zloty (PLN) and bank transfer. We do not have a card terminal at the house. Poland does not use the euro, and there are cash machines and shops a few minutes away.
Breakfast is not included. The patisserie in the building next door serves breakfast for roughly 20 to 40 PLN per person, and you are welcome to use the shared kitchenette.

No. The bus stop is 30 metres away and goes directly to the Kasprowy Wierch cable car and the town centre. If you do drive, parking with us is free.
Check-in from 15:00, check-out by 10:00. Arriving earlier or leaving later is usually fine if you arrange it with us first.
Yes. There is a shared kitchenette in the corridor with a hob, microwave, fridge and crockery. Some of the larger rooms also have a kettle, so ask when you book if that matters to you. We rent rooms rather than self-contained apartments, so the kitchenette is shared.
Yes, there is a ski rack on the property, and a rental and service shop for skis and bikes is right next door. A cycling route runs from here to Droga pod Reglami, one of the few Tatra routes open to bikes.
We welcome groups here for hiking and active holidays. We do not take party groups. Quiet hours run from 22:00 to 07:00 and we care about every guest getting a good night.
Smoking inside the building is strictly forbidden. The house is wooden and this is a fire safety rule. There is a designated smoking area outside.
